  • No - completing an ADHD assessment does not automatically establish an ongoing therapy relationship.

The assessment process is a specialized, standalone service focused on understanding your symptoms, experiences, and needs. During the evaluation, the provider’s role is to gather information, interpret results, and offer professional feedback- not to begin a therapeutic relationship.

However, your provider will give you personalized recommendations and referrals for next steps, which may include therapy, coaching, or other supportive services. If ongoing therapy feels like the right next step, you’re welcome to discuss options and availability, but a separate agreement and intake would be required to begin that process.

  • That’s completely okay and actually an important part of the process.

An ADHD assessment isn’t only about finding a label; it’s about understanding why you’ve been feeling the way you do. Many women who seek ADHD testing discover that their symptoms are connected to other factors such as anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, burnout, hormonal changes, or nervous system dysregulation.

If it turns out ADHD isn’t the right fit, you’ll still leave with:

    • Clarity about what’s contributing to your challenges

    • A full explanation of your results and how they relate to your lived experience

    • Personalized recommendations for therapy, lifestyle support, or further evaluation (if needed)

No matter the outcome, you’ll walk away with insight, direction, and a greater sense of understanding about how your mind and body work. The goal is always clarity and self-compassion.
